This summer, a group of us interns at Accelerate Climate Solutions have been working on something really cool. We’ve put together an art gallery at a local church. What makes it special is that we didn’t do it alone. We teamed up with students all the way from the Solomon Islands.
Together, we’ve collected creative work including photos, comics, sculptures, poems, essays, and even short documentaries. Some pieces are about personal experiences with climate change. Everyone approached the topic in their own way, and that’s what makes it so powerful.

Even though we live in totally different parts of the world, we’re all being affected by climate change. This gallery is about showing those different perspectives and bringing them together in one space. “We want people to feel connected through the stories and artwork,” says Praneeth Doddi, an intern at Accelerate Climate Solutions.
The gallery is open for one day only—August 2nd at First Congregational UCC in Naperville from 10 AM - 2 PM. Come check it out and experience how art can connect people across oceans, cultures, and generations. We’d love to see you there! Learn more and RSVP here.
